Hazza Al Mansouri

UAE’s First Astronaut
Hazzaa Al Mansoori, the first Emirati astronaut, made history on September 25, 2019, as he embarked on the UAE’s inaugural scientific mission to the International Space Station (ISS) under the slogan ‘Zayed’s Ambition.’ This mission marked the UAE as the 19th country worldwide and the first in the Arab region to travel to the ISS. Al Mansoori conducted 31 scientific experiments during his time in space, 16 of which were in collaboration with international space agencies including Roscosmos, NASA, ESA, and JAXA. Notably, 15 experiments involved UAE schools as part of the MBRSC’s Science in Space initiative.


Sultan Al Neyadi

UAE’s First Astronaut
Sultan AlNeyadi is an Emirati astronaut, who was the back-up for Hazzaa AlMansoori, in the UAE’s first scientific mission to the International Space Station (ISS), on 25 September 2019, under the slogan ‘Zayed’s Ambition’.In preparation for the mission, AlNeyadi began his training on 3 September 2018, at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre at Star City in Moscow, based on an agreement with Roscosmos. He also received training in Houston in Texas, and Cologne in Germany, as part of partnership agreements with major space agencies, including NASA, ESA, and JAXA.

Sadhguru, also known as Jaggi Vasudev, is an Indian yogic master and spiritual advocate. Born on September 3, 1957, in Mysore, Karnataka, India, he grew up with a doctor father and a housewife mother, being the youngest of five children. Despite initially lacking interest in spirituality, he began studying yoga at age thirteen under Malladihalli Raghavendra. Vasudev later pursued higher education at the University of Mysore, earning a bachelor’s degree in English. In 1992, he founded the Isha Foundation, which oversees an ashram and yoga center near Coimbatore, India, along with educational initiatives. Recognized for his contributions to social welfare, he was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian award, in 2017. Throughout his career, Vasudev has authored numerous books and frequently speaks at conferences worldwide.
